Championship specifications

This championship is incremental, designed to run for multiple seasons.
Each registered driver will be provided with a license.

The license defines a driver's car category (TCX, GT4, CUP, GT2, GT3), skill category (AM, SILVER, PRO) and available license points (12).

Newly registered drivers start from TCX, AM skill category.
Based on final season placement and remaining license points, there are promotions or demotions.

If entries in a category exceed the number of slots, pre-qualifying will take place.
Drivers who are promoted to higher categories are guaranteed slots in the new category and do not participate in pre-qualifying.

Regulations

1a - Championship structure

This championship is incremental, designed to run for multiple seasons.
Each driver will be provided with a license that will be valid throughout their entire stay, season after season.
The license defines a driver's car category (TCX, GT4, CUP, GT2, GT3), skill category (AM, SILVER, PRO) and available license points (12).

New drivers start from the TCX car category and the lowest AM skill category. At the end of each season, there are promotions or relegations according to specific criteria (section 2a - Driver License) related to the final placing and licence points remaining.

If the number of participants in a category exceeds the number of available slots, pre-qualifications will be held to determine its entry list.
Drivers who are promoted to higher categories (GT4, CUP, GT2 and GT3) have their slot guaranteed in the new category and do not participate in pre-qualifications.

All categories will run in the same race until there are at least 50 total drivers, then they will be split into two separate races: TCX and GT4 on one side, CUP, GT2 and GT3 on the other.

1b - Entry fee and Prize pool

An entry fee of 5$ is required to join our championship.

There is a prize pool, allocated as follows:
- 1st place: 3h of coaching sessions, free sign-up for next season
- 2nd place: 1.5h of coaching sessions, free sign-up for next season
- 3rd place: free sign-up for next season

Coaching sessions will be with one of the ACC e-sport drivers Guglielmo Filippi and Marco Lomi

1c - Season format

Each season consists of:
- 4 races for the TCX TCX, GT4 and CUP categories.
- 4 races + 1 bonus for GT2 and GT3 category.

At the end of each season:
- the top 10 of the TCX category are promoted to GT4 (with license points >=4 and at least 2 races completed); - the top 8 of the GT4 category are promoted to CUP (with license points >=6 and at least 2 races completed); - the top 6 of the CUP category are promoted to GT2 (with license points >=8 and at least 2 races completed); - the top 5 of the GT2 category are promoted to GT3 (with license points >=10 and at least 2 races completed);
The race weekend is structured as follows:
- Briefing at 8:45 pm CEST
- Start of race weekend at 21:00 CEST

The license is made up of 3 parameters:
- Car category: TCX, GT4, GT3
- Skill category: AM, SILVER, PRO
- License points (LP): 12

The only type of demotion considered is for lack of license points, in which case demoted drivers are demoted to the lower car category with SILVER skill.

2b - License Points system and consequences

Every infraction during the race weekend sessions corresponds to an amount of points that will be subtracted from the license points amount.

A- 6 license points remaining = Disqualification from Qualifying of the following race weekend.
B- 2 license points remaining = Position in the league at risk: upon reaching a decision, if the driver can continue, he/she will be monitored until the end of the championship. If the behavior does not improve, the driver in question will be removed from the league.

License point penalties will be given regardless of any other penalties the driver has received in the game. Each incident will be evaluated based on the specific context in which the incident occurred. After the evaluation license points may or may not be awarded.

Every 2 clean races (with no report penalties) you will earn 1 license point.

3 - Qualifications

A- In qualifying, it is the driver's responsibility to find clear space on the track to start the flying lap. Therefore, a driver on his flying lap must not abort his lap if a faster car approaches from behind. A driver in his In/Out Lap or Cancelled/Aborted Lap MUST leave room for other drivers on their flying lap, so as not to damage him.

B- It is NOT allowed to return to the pits from the pause menu, otherwise it will NOT be possible to continue qualifying.

C- It is expected that drivers will comply with Disqualifications as a result of License Points received, therefore they will not be allowed to leave the pits and set any lap.

4 - Race

Always race cleanly. No contact should occur between cars, and as drivers everyone must do their best to prevent this from happening. Accidents can happen, but if a driver has caused a collision, and it is reported, the driver will be penalized.
It is important to be aware of where the cars are around you; it is vital to pay close attention, both at the beginning of the race and in battles.

Pay particular attention to yellow flags, if exposed: since there is no Safety Car, it is the driver's responsibility to expect an accident with cars that may be in the middle of the track and to take the necessary precautions.


Collisions
A.1- Do not be too aggressive in overtaking. It is generally the responsibility of the chasing car to complete the overtake cleanly.
A.2- Never force a car alongside to leave the track. Alongside is defined as having the front wheels of the chasing car at the same height as the rear wheels of the defending car. If 2 cars are alongside in a corner you must always leave room for both.

Dangerous Driving
B.1- Moving under braking is absolutely not allowed, because it can cause accidents. Choose a braking line and keep it until the end of the braking.
B.2- Waving in front of or blocking the driver in your slipstream is not allowed.
B.3- When you are defending from the attacking car, only one defensive movement is allowed. Choose a line and hold it, and make sure the driver behind you has time to react.
B.4- Re-enter the track in a safe manner. If a driver spins off the track while other cars are nearby, you MUST WAIT and be SURE you do not create dangerous situations before re-entering. If you spin on the track you MUST STAY STILL as long as cars are passing by. It is highly recommended to have the full map in the HUD.

5 - Reports and Counter-Reports

Drivers are allowed to make reports to bring to the attention of the race direction of incidents/episodes suffered, by filling out the form in the appropriate Discord channel -report-an-incident, keeping in mind that:

a- It is required to fill out the form in its entirety

b- For each submitted report, each driver receiving it can make only one counter-report, to show his point of view and allow the race direction to better evaluate the incident.

c- The deadlines for making reports and counter-reports are as follows:
- Race day Wednesday, report deadline 9 p.m. Thursday, counter-report deadline 9 p.m. Friday

d- If the outcome of a report leads to neither a penalty nor a race incident, it is considered a waste of time and the driver who submitted it will receive 1 warning.

6 - Miscellaneous

a- During the qualifying and race sessions, it is forbidden to access other teams' voice channels unless you have agreed beforehand, as it breaks other drivers' concentration and can lead to serious consequences on the race. You can discuss any incidents that occurred during qualifying and race after the race in the appropriate Paddock channels.
Should a driver be found to break this rule, the first time he will receive an official warning, the second time his access to the voice channels of all other teams will be blocked.

b- Insulting in general chat and reports is strictly forbidden.
Should a driver be found to break this rule, the first time he/she will receive a license point, the second time he/she will be disqualified from the championship.

C- Lapping: When being lapped it is expected that the driver will facilitate overtaking faster drivers safely and without loss of time. It is the responsibility of both drivers to be aware of the situation.
It is expected that the lapped driver will not engage in any type of defense (braking, pushing off the track, etc.) so that the faster car can overtake in the shortest possible time. Do not continue at normal race pace, and wait until the car that is lapping you has fully completed the overtake.
The lapped driver can use the direction indicators to show where to position himself, not where to be overtaken.

D- If you are going faster than the car that has lapped you, do not attempt to unlap yourself unless it is safe and will not damage the other car. E- If a server crash ever occurs, one of the following measures will be taken: - Crash before 50% race, the race session will be restarted immediately if the majority of drivers agree, or postponed until the following Thursday. - Crash between 50% and 80% of race, the race will be considered valid but with half of the points awarded. - Crash after 80% race, the race will be considered over, with the maximum points assignable. F- Should a driver crash and want to rejoin the server, it is mandatory that he/she select a non-custom livery so that it does not cause dangerous freezes to other drivers on the track. G- We reserve the right to intervene with sanctions above the rules, with or without a report, in case of particular recidivism.

Sanctions

Qualifying
2ab.1 - Impeding = 10 seconds in the next race
2ab.2 - Impeding with collision = 1 License Point + 10 seconds in the next race

2c - Ignoring Disqualifications received = 2 License Points + Drive through in the next race

Race - Collisions
(They will be classified as minor, moderate or severe depending on their consequence. This is a reference grid, Stewards may reduce or increase penalties based on context)

3a.1 - Minor = 1st time: Warning, 2nd time: 5 to 10 seconds penalty (Light damage, reduced loss of time or positions)
3a.2 - Moderate = 10 to 20 seconds penalty + 1 License Point (Significant damage, obvious loss of time and positions)
3a.3 - Severe = at least 20 seconds penalty + 2 License Point (Collision that forces a driver to pit from the break menu and/or involves multiple cars)

Should a driver retire from the race before serving a penalty inflicted on him/her, it will be applied to the next race.

Any action deemed intentional will be handled separately outside the general rules. The first time could result in automatic disqualification from the race in which it happened or subsequent penalties in the form of disqualification from future races.

If an incident is caused by lag, and is proven via video, no action will be taken.

Race - Dangerous Driving
3b.1-4 - Swaying, multiple movements, braking movements, reentering the track dangerously
- Minor = 5 second penalty in the next race (No collision occurs)
- Major = 10 second penalty in the next race (A collision is caused) + collision penalty.

Miscellaneous
4a - Lapping
- Obstructing a driver in a sufficiently bad manner: 5 seconds in the next race
- Unlapping in an unsafe manner : 5 seconds into the next race
- Unlapping in an unsafe manner causing a collision : 10 seconds in the next race + collision penalty.
